This portrait was selected as a finalist in the Portrait Society of America’s, Tri-State Portrait Competition 2006. This child’s portrait displays a refined handling of pastel showing subtle modeling of skin tones and fabric textures. This is a fine example of a classic representational portrait.

Forgiven, Oil, 24×30

This figure painting was selected as a finalist in the juried art competition, “Images of Reconciliation”, sponsored by the Great Christian Art Exhibition, 2008, at Christ Chapel in Pasadena, California. This painting is inspired by the Bible passage of Luke 7:36-50 and communicates the gospel message that salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, received by faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
